ENGLISH

At Lakewood High School, the English Department seeks to aid students in their understanding and analysis of a variety of texts.

We emphasize the importance of written and oral communication for all students and facilitate the advancement of the necessary knowledge in those areas.

We also encourage independent research through inquiry projects and writing assignments.

Our hope is that Lakewood students graduate with the essential skills they will need to navigate our global society regardless of the path they choose.
